CLé DE PEAU BEAUTé Focus

On a night that simply glowed with glamour and excitement, leading beauty brand Clé de Peau Beauté hosted a gala dinner to remember. ArtisTree in Taikoo Place was transformed into a venue that truly reflected the brand’s slogan of “Radiance – Awaken”, as distinguished guests and long-term fans of Clé de Peau Beauté floated into an exquisitely decked-out space with dramatic pendant lamps, flowers in bloom, and shimmering violet and blue lighting. Guests were invited to be the first to try out the brand’s upcoming make-up collections and pose for the special Clé de Peau Beauté instant photobooths before sweeping into the main dining hall resplendent with fresh flowers and sumptuous fabrics.

The exclusive gala dinner was to celebrate the introduction of Clé de Peau Beauté’s upcoming products for Autumn/Winter 2013, which is inspired by the sensuality of red roses.

Speaking behind-the-scenes before the start of the gala, spokesperson and Hollywood star Amanda Seyfried waxed lyrical about the brand’s dedication to promoting beauty from within. Looking radiant in a poppy red Givenchy gown and her hair in simple waves, Seyfried spoke candidly about life before Clé de Peau Beauté. “No one in my family really wore much makeup,” she reveals. “I didn’t really get into makeup until I started working with Clé de Peau Beauté. I learned a lot and now I feel that there are certain products I can’t live without.” She grins mischievously: “Sadly, because I like to think that I’m low maintenance!”

On a more serious note, Seyfried comments that her partnership with the brand is one that makes sense. During the dinner she revealed the secrets of her glowing skin: lots and lots of water and Clé de Peau Beauté’s la crème. “The brand represents a healthy, beautiful woman from the inside out,” Seyfried explains. “Someone who is confident and takes care of her skin, but also understands the power of make up and uses that to feel more confident for herself.”

For Yoshiaki Okabe, the general manager of Clé de Peau Beauté, the last ten years he has been working with the brand has been exhilarating and rewarding. “Working with this brand has helped me achieve my dreams,” he says, smiling. “Cle de Peau Beauté is different from other brands because we are always in search of real beauty. Over the last 30 years, we have paid close attention to develop our technological innovations in cell research, to achieve our goal of giving skin radiance.”

For Okabe-san, the Clé de Peau Beauté woman has wisdom as well as beauty, and a good heart. It fits in well with the whole brand philosophy of “Radiance from Within”. Seyfried agrees: “I feel the same way about beauty. It does absolutely come from within first.”
