Discover Virgil Abloh's FW19 Louis Vuitton Collection At The Landmark Pop-Up Store
First presented during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January, Virgil Abloh’s sophomore collection for Louis Vuitton was a nostalgic look at pop culture and music references from the '80s and '90s.
The show’s invitation included a white glove, as did many of the show’s looks. The collection was an exploration of boyhood, but also a celebration of universality and inclusivity—all topics that are very close to the heart of the artistic director, Abloh.
While refined loosely-cut tailoring looks started the show, there was a sense of unity that even paid tribute to Vuitton’s historic association with travel that came in the form of the finale—colourful flags (which represented the in-house design team's nationalities) were patchworked and assembled on shirts, outerwear and leather goods.
The FW19 Louis Vuitton men's collection has made its way around the world with pop-ups in cities from New York, Tokyo to Shanghai and Sydney, and will station itself in Hong Kong at the Landmark Atrium from July 20 to August 4.
The pop-up will include several exclusive products (pictured above), from an oversized patchwork mink scarf to iridescent monogram-embossed bags. Visitors of the pop-up will also get the opportunity to relive the '80s with an arcade game, 'Endless Runner', which features big-city sceneries and renderings of vintage video games for the inner child in us all.
Louis Vuitton Men's Fall-Winter 2019 Pop-Up will be open to the public from July 20 to August 4 , 2019 (10am to 8pm) at Landmark Atrium.
