At last, the wait is over. Get your hands on Virgil Abloh's highly anticipated FW19 collection for Louis Vuitton at the new Landmark Atrium pop-up
First presented during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January, Virgil Abloh’s sophomore collection for Louis Vuitton was a nostalgic look at pop culture and music references from the '80s and '90s.
The show’s invitation included a white glove, as did many of the show’s looks. The collection was an exploration of boyhood, but also a celebration of universality and inclusivity—all topics that are very close to the heart of the artistic director, Abloh.
While refined loosely-cut tailoring looks started the show, there was a sense of unity that even paid tribute to Vuitton’s historic association with travel that came in the form of the finale—colourful flags (which represented the in-house design team's nationalities) were patchworked and assembled on shirts, outerwear and leather goods.
