Chloé debuts the Woody Panier, the first fair trade-verified luxury bag collection in partnership with the World Trade Organisation. The four Woody Panier styles are environmentally responsible and ethically produced. The bags have been hand-woven by 700 women in Kenya.

For this collection, Chloé also collaborated with Mifuko, a WFTO-guaranteed member to help secure fair pay and safe conditions for its network of more than 700 artisan producers, mostly women in rural areas who have become less dependent on farming as their principal income source.

Tapping into the spirit of traditional Kenyan handcraft that are mostly woven, it empowers each individual who worked on the piece which is why each bag is signed by the artisan who made it. The four styles include two sizes—a roomy tote and compact cross-body bucket—all proposed in solid and striped paper together with a Woody logo ribbon on the leather straps.

The R Collective launches their Earth Day campaign, "Celebrate Life". They continue to reduce fashion waste by rescuing luxury and premium brands' excess waste materials which they reuse in their womenswear upcycled fashion brand.

They then revive the pieces, some of which are included in this campaign such as the Ely Dress, Gora Jumpsuit, Dili Tee and Pascal Reconstructed Blazer. Other rescued waste materials are also repurposed or recycled into corporate gifts and recycled fabrics.

In addition, The R Collective will continue to support sustainable fashion design innovation by collaborating with global sustainable designers who are also talents from the sustainable fashion design competition, The Redress Design Award.

It's the making of their dream of "zero waste" possible as 30 per cent of raw materials are discarded to produce a garment.
