Salvatore Ferragamo Focus
When it comes to juggling work and play, man-about-town Edwin Pun is an expert at achieving simple yet put-together looks. Here he shares his styling tips and what he loves about Salvatore Ferragamo’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection by Paul Andrew
There’s an easy elegance to the way Edwin Pun carries himself. He’s always impeccably dressed, no matter the time of day or where he’s headed. As a director at Keyestone Properties overseeing the design and creative aspects of its commercial and residential projects around the region, he is constantly on the go—and still has time to attend some of the city’s most exclusive events.
What’s your go-to outfit if you are in a rush in the morning?
I’m constantly on the go, and to be honest, my routine is never the same. I usually have a few go-to pieces which are easy to layer and adaptable to different occasions—simple pieces work best, such as a well-cut pleat-front trouser, a crisp shirt in a white poplin or light blue linen, a pair of white sneakers and a a pair of chunky sole derby shoes.
As the Director of Keyestone, you may be going to meetings, site visits—what does your typical work look like?
Comfort is key when you are always on the move. I travel a lot, so easy separates with a tailoring slant carry me through. I try to balance a lightweight charcoal grey suit with more relaxed pieces such as a navy t-shirt or a textured shirt. When I shop, I pay close attention to functionality—internal pockets on jackets or coats are essential.
Can you tell us what you wore for the Salvatore Ferragamo shoot? What did you like about your look?
I’ve always had a soft spot for a trench coat (photographed below). For this coat particularly, I think the weight of the material makes the coat drape very nicely, and the leather details stitched through the coat give it structure. It’s an easy-to-layer item which can be dressed up or down.
