The Emporio Armani watch is turning is back time this fall 2018. In a nostalgic nod back to the 1930s and 1940s, the Italian luxury label’s latest Swiss Made watch collection is taken straight from the wrist of Gatsby this season, blending Art Deco aesthetics with a contemporary finish.
Dubbed Modern Retrò, the men’s and women’s watch collection (so there’s a watch for Gatsby’s Daisy this season too) is an update on the house’s signature watch catalogue, with the four timepieces designed to appeal to those seeking innovation and antique styling, as well as the classic Swiss tradition of high-precision mechanics in watchmaking.
The watches come in two colourways and at first glance, a significant design feature is the Armani rectangular dial shape. Inside, the men’s rose-gold variety is made with a quartz sub-second movement and is punctuated with an applied curved stick indexes.
Paired with a polished rose gold-tone case and a black calf leather strap, it’s a refined look that breaks away from the common silver or gold colours, for a fresh change for fall.
