A-list celebrities Cher, Elle Fanning and more filled the dance floor at Paris’s Silencio nightclub to celebrate the upcoming collaboration between the brands

Rabanne is the latest designer to join H&M’s growing list of fashion collaborations. An enduring pioneer on the French fashion scene since the ’60s thanks to founder Paco Rabanne’s period-defining creations, the label remains equally identifiable in modern times with its instantly-recognisable designs.

The Rabanne x H&M collection embraces a party-ready aesthetic, filled with strikingly metallic textures and and endless array of glittering details. “Where better to reveal a collection made for floor-filling moments?” says head of design womenswear and creative advisor at H&M Anee-Sofie Johansson. The iconic Parisian nightclub played host to an intimate event with a star-studded guest list on October 3, with electrifying performances by Swedish pop-star Robyn and acclaimed South Korean DJ Peggy Gou.

The exploration of hedonism and empowerment were driving forces behind the collection, and the desire to bring the French brand’s avant-garde energy to a wider audience was one the reasons Rabanne creative director Julien Dossena was keen to work with H&M. She adds that Rabanne has always been joyful and playful brand, and it was important people felt liberation when donning its designs.

Models Irina Shayk and Iris Law were in attendance alongside celebrities Alton Mason, Jared Leto Damson Idris, Ashley Graham and Tina Kunakey—all decked out in key looks from the high-energy collection. The occasion offered a first look at the Rabanne H&M collaboration which includes womenswear, menswear, accessories and home decor. It’s set to launch in selected stores and online on November 9.
