Parker, who is chair of the upcoming ACM Gala 2023 held in honour of Gn, tells us why she is such a fan of the Singaporean fashion designer
Paige Parker is many things: a mother, a writer, a gemologist, a podcaster, a patron of the arts—just to name a few. She is also an ardent fan of Andrew Gn, the Singaporean fashion designer and cover star of Tatler Singapore’s May 2023 issue.
“Andrew’s pieces make me feel like a confident woman,” Parker tells us over an email interview, putting her in a league of fabulous women around the world with a penchant for Gn’s extravagant creations.
Gn, who is based in Paris, counts Hollywood actresses, pop stars and royal family members as his clients. When Princess Mary of Denmark arrived at Buckingham Palace for King Charles III’s coronation last weekend, she donned a bright coral dress by Gn—the same one that she had previously worn to her daughter Princess Isabella’s confirmation.

“He dresses strong women who are not afraid of looking glamorous and gorgeous,” says Parker. “His designs are refined, beautiful and appeal to women from all around the world.”
Parker would know. She reveals that she has at least a dozen of Gn’s designs in her wardrobe, including quite a few gala-worthy gowns. It’s a collection that she has been building since she first arrived in Singapore with her family 15 years ago, starting with what she describes as an “evening gown in vivid green with pink florals—a bit of an ode to Peranakan colours, I like to believe.”
In Parker’s exploration of Singapore fashion designers, it was not surprising that Andrew Gn’s brand spoke to her. “My style is rooted in classic dressing, with glam and femininity on overload,” she says. “I am inspired to be modern and relevant. Good taste and timeless looks never go out of fashion, but our style must evolve, or we shall remain stuck in a rut!”
