The South Korean DJ shows us how to pull off Spring/Summer 2022’s brightest colour trend, lime green
How do you stand out in a venue with 13,000 other people? This week, Peggy Gou found the answer in an outfit as bright as her house and techno dance tracks.
The South Korean DJ made her long-awaited return to Australia’s live music scene at the Piknic Électronik Melbourne, and she did so with style: over a sporty black tank top, Gou wore a glowstick yellow Alexander Wang shrug jacket with piped-trim detailing, as well as matching track pants.
To highlight (get it?) the neon-bright hue, Gou also topped up her signature eyeliner with a Euphoria-worthy stroke of yellow liner, courtesy of the influencer-founded cosmetics brand, Simihaze Beauty.

Gou isn’t the only music star to take to the stage in that vibrant shade recently. Beyoncé practically lit up the 2022 Oscars when she performed in a sequinned and feathered David Koma dress in neon green. Or yellow.
Pantone identified the shade as “Fragile Sprout” after noting it as a trending colour for Spring/Summer 2022. That striking shade of yellow-green appeared on Blumarine’s sheer, wispy dresses and ruffled tops, as well as Bottega Veneta’s intrecciato-inspired knits.
Prabal Gurung’s high-shine satin looks emphasised the effervescence of the lime green colour, but not as much Versace’s collection did, heavy as it was in highlighter hues.
