We saw Lady Gaga carrying Hedi Slimane's debut handbag design for the French label before it even hit the runway, and then we saw the highly anticipated show. Now, we're getting a first hand look at how celebrities and friends of the brand translate looks from runway to the red carpet and beyond

Lady Gaga

It's no mystery that Lady Gaga plays friend and muse to Hedi Slimane. Lady Gaga was photographed in October in New York, just days after the fashion show in Paris, toting the Celine 16 handbag in black calfskin.

Dakota Johnson

American actress Dakota Johnson is the first celebrity in the world to be dressed by Celine for the red carpet. Johnson stuns in a sequined red minidress (look 40) for a movie preimere in Los Angeles, just one month after the fashion show in Paris.

Natalie Portman

Hedi Slimane made a name for himself crafting expertly slim-cut suits at Dior Homme, and it's no surprise he would offer his highly coveted tailoring at Celine. Hollywood darling Natalie Portman was photographed on November 1 in a black tuxedo with a sheer white shirt underneath.

American actress Amandla Stenberg wore this dress (look 19) from the runway to an event in Los Angeles on November 18. The actress paired the halter neck mini dress with a pair of crystal-encrusted Roger Vivier heels.

While some celebrities may turn to Silmane for red carpet occasions, actress Amber Heard proved his designs were just as suitable for everyday wear. English actress Naomi Watts was the first to be dressed in Celine in the UK. She wore a mini dress in black wool and silk (look 27) to attend The Fashion Awards 2018 dinner in London on December 9. Watts kept her shoes simple while she played up the shine with Swarovski-encrusted accessories and a clutch.
