Hong Kong welcomes Galerie NeC from Paris to its expanding contemporary art scene

The famed Paris-based gallery, Galerie NeC will be opening its first international outlet in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong to tap into Asia’s fast-growing art market. Galerie NeC features contemporary art with a focus in ceramic sculpture. Its inaugural exhibition in Hong Kong, presented by Alain Chiglien and Roger Nilsson, will feature works by Danish ceramist Steen Ipsen, whose works have been exhibited in Victoria and Albert Museum in London and Musée Magnelli in Vallauris, France.

Prior to Ipsen’s exhibition, which will be held from May 18 to June 23, an opening cocktail in connection to Le French May will be hosted on May 17 with the presence of Arnaud Barthelemy, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and Torben Antonio Gettermann, Consul General of Denmark in Hong Kong.
