See what guy-about-town Geoffrey Chuang is bringing with him to Black Rock City

Each year at the end of August, tens of thousands of people flock to Nevada's Black Rock City for Burning Man. The gathering is a week-long event that focuses on community, art, civic responsibility and leaving no trace.

Burning Man dates back to 1986 and has attracted famous names including models Heidi Klum, Cara Delevigne and Karlie Kloss as well as Hollywood's elite and entrepreneurs such as Will Smith, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, just to name a few.

Guy-about-town and first-time burner, Geoffrey Chuang, tells us what he'll be bringing with him on his first Burning Man journey.

I’ve never thought I would need a pair of cycling sunglasses, but these Oakley’s certainly seem fitting to the location and environment. They fit impeccably and will shield my eyes from the sun and sand.

 Leather jacket

I got this Craig Green leather jacket on a trip to London at Dover Street Market a couple years ago. I have yet to find the right situation to wear it, but given all the wild looks I’ve seen people wear to Burning Man, I figured it would be the perfect occasion for its debut.

Supreme Freighter Jacket

This jacket by Supreme is water resistant with a quilted lining, so it’s definitely going to keep me warm—come rain or shine.

 Yoga mat

There are a ton of camps that offer yoga lessons throughout the week, so I’m definitely bringing a mat with me.

Slip-on sneakers

Vans slip-ons are my go-to when it comes to footwear. I’m packing a few pairs with me to Burning Man, including this pair I picked up a couple weeks ago with flames on the side.

What else?

Chuang is also planning to do his 'act of service for the Burning Man community' through traditional Chinese cupping (with an instruction manual, of course). And he might even have a new tattoo to debut at Burning Man thanks to Kane Navasard, an LA-based tattoo artist that he admires.

Face masks are also a must to rehydrate from all that desert dust, and he'll be decorating his RV with plenty of polaroids of his family and friends.
