A behind-the-scenes look at the Ports 1961 Fall/Winter collections, which is inspired by a place we all #love—home.

Known for its sense of casual luxury, where fine fabrics are used to create modern yet comfortable silhouettes, Ports 1961 founder Luke Tanabe was always about living a jet-set lifestyle (think dressing that's appropriate for boarding a private jet or entertaining on a luxury yacht). But for the brand's Fall/Winter 2017 collection, both womenswear creative director Nataša Čagalj and menswear creative director Milan Vukmirovic veered towards an aesthetic that suggests a more humble approach to luxury.

Vukmirovic's densely weaved tracksuits, body armour gilets and slashed shirting are a nod to the film Trainspotting, while Čagalj's pieces take cues from tropes of domesticity, incorporating rug-like chunky knits and fringing and flower vase motifs.

Of course, both collections remained true to Ports 1961's tailored roots with plenty of reconstructed suits and a muted palette of camo-green, greys and whites for both genders.
