Joyce’s new forum series kicks off with a discussion from industry insiders on the evolution of luxury in fashion and what it has come to mean today

With luxury being an overused term when describing a brand’s position in the marketplace, many wonder what luxury actually means especially when it comes to fashion?

A leading authority of fashion in Hong Kong, Joyce will bring together international designers, and industry insiders to discuss the challenges and opportunities in fashion and the creative industries today – as part of their launch of Joyce Creative Salon to debate and discuss the concept of luxury and where it stands in the fashion industry as a whole.

Essentially, Joyce Creative Salon is a forum series with a global vision that’s powered by the city’s most stylish and knowledable. Featuring renwoned British fashion designer, Christopher Kane, along with Yana Peel, the former Asia managing director of innovative design firm IDEO, Richard Kelly a leading visionary at Fung Academy, and lastly multi-media artist Elaine Ng. The forum will be moderated by reporter and lead anchor of Bloomberg Asia, Angie Lau.

Titled Objects of Desire: Fashion, Creation, and Innovation Resconsidered the speakers will explore luxury in the context of today’s society.
