Created in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris, the make-up collection will channel Karl's “rock-chic style, fused with a sense of Parisian elegance”

Legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld may have passed away too soon last February, but his legacy continues to live on. Not only was he honoured with a star-studded memorial during Paris Men's Fashion Week on June 20—it's just been announced that a new Karl Lagerfeld make-up collection will be launching this fall.

According to WWD, the one-off make-up collection is a project Karl Lagerfeld was working on in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris before his passing. The partners describe it as having a “rock-chic style, fused with a sense of Parisian elegance," much like Lagerfeld.

In fact, Lagerfeld was known to use eye shadow to hand-colour his fashion illustrations and often envisioned beauty looks to go with his collections. This is not his first make-up collection, however, as he has previously worked with Australian beauty company ModelCo and Sephora on limited-edition ranges.

The Karl Lagerfeld make-up collection will be available for online sales from September 20 with a global release on September 27 during Paris Fashion Week. Keep an eye out for its accompanying campaign, which will be inspired by Lagerfeld's famous sayings, including "Embrace the present and invent the future."

Here's hoping that one of our faves, "Vanity is the healthiest thing in life," makes the cut.
