The actress and Hollywood favourite talks style and shoes, highlighting her top picks from the designer’s new collection

Kate Hudson is perhaps best known for her role as enigmatic rock star Penny Lane in Almost Famous in 2000, a role that has earned her an Oscar’s nod as well as a Golden Globe award. Additionally, it confirmed her role as a red carpet favourite cementing her status as a darling of the fashion world.

In collaboration with renowned shoe designer Jimmy Choo, Hudson shares an exclusive photo diary that dissects her style and reveals some of her favourites from Choo’s new Autumn Winter 2015 collection. “I think my favourite look was the pink velvet ballet hells with the big skirt we shot in the window,” Hudson says, “the look had a vintage Oscar de la Renta vibe to it, it was so ethereal and relaxed, the shoes are beautiful and the colour made the black dress feel like something so special.”

When quizzed about her style, Hudson revealed that “my style sort of depends on my mood – but comfort is the common denominator, which means a lot of the pieces are flowy and light,” she says, “I’ve always liked the 1970s, something sexy with a lot of freedom in the overall aesthetic.”
