We've got our eyes on these Hong Kong-exclusive Hermès bags, which feature motifs inspired by the spirit of the city

On your marks, get set, go! When Hermès opens its new flagship store in Landmark Prince’s in January, the race will be on to snap up one of the limited edition clutches—or "sac a malice" (bag of tricks)—inspired by and created especially for Hong Kong.

Reflecting the spirit of the city, the designs include a birdcage, dice, a skyscraper-dominated skyline, a yellow-crested cockatoo and a horse’s head, which nods not only to the French luxury brand’s equestrian heritage but also to our city’s famous racing tradition.

The skyline clutch has an ornate full-moon clasp and is handcrafted from 70 individual pieces of leather. The clasp of the cockatoo clutch is shaped like a golden crown of feathers.

As well as queues for the bags, we expect the window display (an installation by French artists Zim & Zou) to rival those in Hermès’ famous Parisian boutiques.

Hermès at Landmark Prince's will open on January 10, 2018. Discover more at hermes.com
