Who have you looked up to for inspiration and what are some benefits of having started this brand as sisters?

Our mother has always been our biggest source of inspiration. She has great style and taste, and we learnt about clothing and dress-making from her. As sisters, we have a great, constant back and forth conversation of ideas and inspiration, often at all hours of the day and night; growing and evolving new ideas while they are fresh.

How are your styles similar or different?

We are both quite classic and simple and tend to be uniform dressers. We like anything that makes getting dressed each day easier and less stressful! We stick to well-made classics or interesting pieces that can be worn back to classics.

What are some details you take into account when you design these swimsuits to make sure they’re most comfortable and flattering? Any challenges people might be surprised to hear when it comes to making swimwear?

We look at fit and shape constantly to make sure that our styles can work on different body types. Classic styles tend to work on most body types, and we don’t deviate too much from the classics and focus on doing them well.

What are some tips for picking the right style for your body (Apple, Pear, Hourglass, Straight etc)—and common problems or misconceptions you find that women face?

Buying swimwear can be daunting at the best of times. We always say you have to feel good in the suit; that’s the most important thing. A well-fit suit is also important, there is nothing worse than swimwear that is sagging or collapsing on the body – it should be firm and feel like a second skin.

Classic shapes tend to work on most women and we always recommend focusing on your best attribute (and not the things that bother you). Relaxed confidence is always the best mood by the beach.
