The celebrated fashion brand collaborates with Japanese design studio Nendo to create a new casual shoe

Tod’s has long been known for it’s exceptional quality and Italian make, but this year they’ve chosen to do something a little bit different. Working together with celebrated designer and architect Oki Sato of the award-winning Japanese design studio Nendo, the brand has recreated its renowned deck shoe in a modern riff off a classic design.

Just in time for the Spring/Summer 2014 season, the all-new Tod’s Envelope Boat Shoes are created using a mix of suede and soft leather in shades of blue, grey, brown and black featuring a distinctive fastening detail for laces. Technical characteristics of a typical sailing shoe, such as anti-slide side sole, anti-rust rings and water-resistant leather, have all been included, making the footwear suitable for anything from regattas to everyday use.

The shoe was recently launched in Milan at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2014 and will be seen in stores shortly.
