We're lining up the best new beauty products to hit Hong Kong this June

Summer 2021 is all about bringing out the best in your skin, whether that's cleaning up your beauty arsenal with sustainable products, finding the perfect highlighter or protecting it from the elements with make-up that doubles as protection.

These are the recent beauty launches we love.

Byredo Color Sticks

When Byredo launched its line of genderless make-up last October, it didn't hold back with its range of bold, highly saturated Color Sticks that came in bright hues such as sparkling azure, tangerine orange, earthy green and a purple that Prince would have been proud to wear.

This summer, they're toning things down with three new Color Sticks in neutral (but hardly boring) shades; Solar Flare, a shimmering gold that's great for highlighting; Dravite, a deep ember brown; and Coleoptera, a '90s-inspired burgundy with a hint of turquoise iridescence.

This versatile summer staple is made to be worn across lips, cheeks or eyes.

Tata Harper Superkind Collection

Does your skin feel like it's got a mind of its own? That it takes little more than a new soap or a change in weather to flare inflammation, rashes or itchiness? Modern life, not to mention the last year of stress and mask-wearing, has made reactive skin a reality for many. And those who struggle with sensitive or sensitised skin often miss out on the benefits of skincare products that contain game-changing ingredients such as acids and retinol.

Knowing this, Tata Harper has been quietly working away at her 485-hectare organic farm in the Champlain Valley of Vermont, USA, to develop a line of skincare that delivers powerful results without irritating sensitive skin.

It's called Superkind, for obvious reasons, and includes just three products: The Softening Cleanser, which Harper refers to as a "cleansing treatment"; The Radiance Mask, which includes a self-neutralizing AHA blend of phytic and lactic acid; and The Fortifying Moisturizer which contains vitamins A, B, C, as well as AHAs and other ingredients to protect skin from extreme environments and conditions.

Tatcha The Silk Powder

Tatler Asia

Calling it skincare-first make-up, Tatcha's The Silk Powder is a protective talc-free powder that blurs imperfections and sets make-up, while creating an invisible barrier to protect the skin by filtering pollution and blue light exposure.

Crafted with amino acid-rich silk extracts, Japanese pearl, and Tatcha’s proprietary complex Hadasei-3™, The Silk Powder gives a soft, radiant finish by reducing the look of pores and wrinkles, absorbing excess oil, and minimising shine without drying or caking.

Since it was founded by Max Huber in 1994, La Mer has been inspired by the healing powers of the ocean, and taken ingredients from her to create its legendary skincare range. To give back, La Mer's Blue Heart initiatives helps to support ocean conservation efforts around the world.

Available from June 1, this year's annual Limited-Edition Blue Heart Crème de la Mer jar features an artistic design inspired by the pattern of bioluminescent corals. Inside is the same luxurious cream that contains La Mer's signature elixir, Miracle Broth™, to soothe and moisturise skin.

Louis Vuitton Imagination Men's Perfume

Louis Vuitton has been going hard with its perfume launches lately, and we're absolutely loving it. The latest release is its seventh men's fragrance, Imagination.

The Maison’s Master Perfumer, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, created Imagination in his atelier at Les Fontaines Parfumées, in Grasse, where he brought together the unlikely combination of amber and black tea from China for a fresh yet smokey scent.

“I’m very attached to the literal expression of raw materials,” says Cavallier-Belletrud. "“The tea evokes the magic of the East, an imaginary scene of caravans. It carries within it the spirit of travel, like an olfactory transcription of Louis Vuitton’s universe."
