Summer is in full effect in Hong Kong. We had beach-perfect sunshine over the past few weeks followed by a little bit (or a lot) of rain. But don’t let the weather dampen your mood, because we’ve found the coolest and prettiest capsule collections so you can stay chic in the heat.

1. Self-Portrait for MyTheresa

London label, Self-Portrait, has been a strong society favourite in recent years. Han Chong’s designs—often contemporary cocktail creations—are a stylish balance between cool and feminine.

Dress them up with a pair of heels for the evening or slip on a pair of sandals with his designs for brunch. Chong has created a capsule of five dresses for the German e-tailer, and we have our eyes set on the lace-up floral frock in blue (far right). What about you?

Rosie Assoulin is a New York designer that has garnered a big fan base including Lenadra Medine (The Man Repeller) as well as Net-a-Porter’s own Global Buying Director, Elizabeth von der Goltz. “We adore Rosie’s whimsical and youthful designs,” says von der Goltz, “they’re infused with a fun sense of glamour.”

Assoulin has created a 10-piece capsule collection, which includes special takes on her signature exaggerated silhouettes in crisp linens. Our favourites include the blue and natural striped wrap top with matching trousers.

New Zealand-born and British-based designer, Emilia Wickstead, creates her first vacation collection in partnership with e-retailer Matches Fashion this season. The 17-piece capsule includes a wide range of dresses, swimwear and stylish separates in dainty floral motifs that are inspired by mid-century photographs of people holidaying on the Mediterranean coast.

Expect sweeping summer kaftans in light linens and crisp cotton playsuits, and don’t miss the designer’s foray into swim with her chic one-pieces.

Raffia bags have long been the must-have for a summer shopping list. We may have stocked up on plenty of natural-toned summer totes, but the four exclusive styles from Boyy on Moda Operandi are proof we may need to invest in something more colourful.

Designers Dorsey and Wannasiri Kongman of Boyy weave rainbow pastel leather and raffia onto their signature shapes, including their ‘Bobby’, the boxy top handle bag.
