Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019: Day 2 Highlights
The front row of Maison Margiela was filled with some of the most influential people in the industry—Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Tim Blanks just to name a few. Galliano continued to explore key themes the house of Margiela has become known for—deconstructing and reconstructing wardrobe staples in ways we haven't seen before so that nothing is what it seems.
A strapless dress was actually an unfinished pair of trousers, belted right below the arms. Outerwear stays cinched at the waist, for both men’s and women’s, while pops of colour came in the decorative backs of coats (which often came with matching leggings and boots—or both).
Chaos pop-up at Nous
Maybe you haven’t heard of Chaos, but you've more than likely seen their iPhone cases, scarves or magazine which have theyve been spotted on everyone from the late Karl Lagerfeld to Victoria Beckham.
Designers Katie Lyall and Charlotte Stockdale kicked off Paris Fashion Week with a pop up at Nous at Rue Cambon, stocked with their magazines, logo scarves and knit blankets printed with some of Chaos' iconic images of Kendall Jenner.

Dries Van Noten
While the show may have started with a series of top-to-toe grey looks, it eventually evolved into a vibrant exploration of colour and florals.
There was the daytime separates that we have come to know and love from Dries, outerwear (be it puffers, embroidered kimono coats or dip-dyed faux furs) and of course, evening wear.
LVMH prize finalist Kevin Germanier is single-handedly changing the notion of eco-friendly fashion.
T-shirts are repurposed with tie dye, and upcycled brocade is made into party-ready frocks and sprinkled with glitter and sequins—proving that eco-friendly labels can be glamorous too.
Hermès shoe presentation
Cowboy boots are having their moment in the spotlight and it’s clear that they’re not going anywhere.
Pierre Hardy’s Hermès boots—offered in leather or crocodile—strike the perfect balance between style and sensibility.
