Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo is set to present its second watch auction in Hong Kong on the 31st of May at the Mandarin Oriental. Its first sale realized a more than fruitful outcome, seeing a record-breaking highest price ever paid for a wristwatch at auction in Asia.

Already on preview, this collection is overseen by the International Head of Watches, Sam Hines, and consists of over 380 unique timepieces covering a broad range of the world’s most coveted watch brands, boasting an estimated sale total of HK$117 million.

As with any sale, there are a few exceptional pieces that are drawing in the most attention and interest. A previously unseen pink gold world time wristwatch in pristine, unpolished condition, featuring two crowns and a two-tone dial by Patek Philippe, Reference 2523/1, is estimated to go for HK$12-20 million by specialists.

Another exceptional 1968 pink gold Patek Philippe is also on offer. The Reference 2499 boasts chronograph and moonphase functions, is only one of six known examples, and is estimated at HK$9-18 million.

A collection by a well-known collector in Asia features an assortment of the most iconic Rolex models, while another Asian collection introduces a range of extremely rare vintage timepieces completely new to the market.
