Shanghai Tang and the HKCF have come together in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer awareness month this October

The Hong Kong Cancer Fund (HKCF) is encouraging people to ‘shop for pink’, considering that in Hong Kong 1 in 17 women will develop  breast cancer in their lifetime. This year the HKCF, which was founded by Sally Lo and Shanghai Tang have united in an effort to raise awareness for the ‘Pink Revolution’, the HKCF’s annual breast awareness and fundraising campaign.

Shanghai Tang will release a limited edition of the Friendship Knot bracelet this month, with the design symbolising kinship and support to women affected with breast cancer, whether past or present. A portion fo the proceeds from the sale of the bracelet will go towards the HKCF, and their work to help raise awareness for the prevention and early detection of breast cancer.

The HKCF offers professional support services to breast cancer patients and their families, from diagnosis through to treatment and recovery. Early detection is vital to saving lives so the Cancer Fund is also urging women to undego regular checkups.

The Shanghai Tang x Hong Kong Cancer Fund bracelet is available at nine Shanghai Boutiques until February 2016 while stocks last.
