L’Occitane Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum

Living in a busy city like Hong Kong, our skin is exposed to excessive air pollution, making it appear dull and lacklustre. I’ve been trying out L’occitane’s Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum, a light and fast-absorbing nighttime serum which reset my skin in just one night, keeping my skin smooth and glowy without being greasy. The luxurious citrus scent makes it a joy to use before going to bed!

Caudalie Vinosource-Hydra Collection

I have to say that I don't really use a lot of makeup or skincare products because I have sensitive skin but this summer has been so hot and humid that I feel the need to. Coming to my rescue recently is Caudalie's Vinosource-Hydra Collection. I love that it's made up of 100% organic grape water that helps my skin against pathogens—something I need during this pandemic and when I'm always sweating under my mask. Whether it's the gel moisturiser or the organic grape water, both help in saving my sensitive skin this summer, making me feel much fresher.

Rare Beauty

Selena Gomez’s makeup line, Rare Beauty just launched in Hong Kong and I’ve been loving everything from the vibrant lip stains to the matte liquid liner.

However, the product that surprised me the most was the Blot & Glow Touch-Up kit, which comes with a little pack of blotting papers and a super convenient pre-filled powder puff (I didn’t know it was pre-filled at first and looked around for the powder). On-the-go touch-ups are much, much easier without having to worry about loose powder going all over the place.

Estée Lauder Micro Essence

I have very sensitive skin and have always struggled to find a skincare routine that works for me. I first tried Estée Lauder's Micro Essence as part of a larger regime that included a face foam to gently deep clean my pores and a mild moisturiser or evening serum (I'm currently using Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream and Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Serum). Just one cotton swab of this toner, which I apply twice a day after cleansing does wonders for my skin. My overall complexion is smoother, brighter and I'm dealing with less frequent breakouts!

No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream SPF 30

I was raised in the desert, so protecting my skin from the sun has always been a priority for me. I love No.7's day cream with SPF 30. It moisturizes the skin beautifully and doesn't flake on the skin like most SPFs do. No.7 also has a great night repair cream which has reduced fine lines around my eyes and mouth. I swear by their products and stock up whenever I can.

Kiehl's Vital Skin-Strengthening Super Serum

Genetics cursed me with stubborn dark circles, so I’m always on the lookout for treatments. I’m a long-time fan of Kiehl’s and I recently tried their Vital Skin-Strengthening Super Serum. It really helps to even out the skin tone underneath my eyes and leaves the rest of my face feeling noticeably softer after application. I apply it every morning and every evening.

YSL Top Secrets Instant Moisture

Finding the perfect primer has always been a struggle for me, and I tend to be extremely picky with the consistency. YSL’s Top Secrets Instant Moisture works the best for me as it’s light, hydrating and gives my skin a bright glow. I often wear it on its own as a moisturiser, and it mimics the appearance of having applied some light make-up – which is great for Hong Kong’s sweltering summer days.

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask

I’ve got dry skin so finding the right clay mask that doesn’t draw all the moisture out of my face is tricky. Lush’s Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask is made with antioxidant-rich blueberries, along with calamine powder and chamomile blue oil. This mask is fun to use as it is cold and I love the refreshing and blueberry like smell. It helps my pores without stripping my skin and makes my face super soft!

Givenchy Rose Perfecto Plumping Lip Balm

I tend to reach for hydrating lip colours to avoid lipstick-induced lines. Givenchy’s new Rose Perfecto Plumping lip balm promises 24 hours hydration—while still delivering bright, pigmented colours.

While I can't say the colour stays on for 24 hours (I snack too much throughout the day to tell)—I will say the formula is especially hydrating, even with all the intense colour pigments. If you’re looking for a classy red lip colour, try the shade 333 in Iconic Red.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream

My skin has always been on the oilier side, particularly around my T-zone. It can be difficult to find a moisturiser that doesn’t exacerbate the problem, but Sunday Riley’s C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream works without leaving an oily buildup.

Gucci Rouge À Lèvres Matte Lipstick

I can’t live without my lipsticks, especially my reds, and I’ve found a lot of them stain the inner layer of my mask, smudging pigment all over my mouth! The one I’ve been obsessed with lately is Gucci’s Rouge À Lèvres Matte Lipstick in shade 501, Constance Vermillion. It applies easy, hydrating and goes with anything you wear.
