For over two centuries, Chaumet has consistently demonstrated a commitment to masterful craftsmanship in its timeless designs. The brand’s storied heritage is currently being demonstrated in a showcase of selected pieces from its tiara and high jewellery collections, placed alongside interactive experiences that offer visitors a glimpse into its history and evolution.

Entitled The Art of Jewellery Since 1780 and open to public from June 1 to 11, the pop-up exhibition sees ifc mall’s Oval Atrium transformed into a French-style patio inspired by architectural follies.

The exhibit opened with a bang (and a lot of cocktails) with a party on June 2. We spotted a number of celebrities—including Charlie Young, Cecilia So, Phil Lam and Jason Chan next to Jean-Marc Mansvelt, the CEO of Chaumet—and T-listers such as Antonia Li, Brandon Chau and Yen Kuok.

The Art of Jewellery Since 1780 is designed around three themed sections: Chaumet’s expertise in crafting tiaras, nature as a source of inspiration for the brand, and a virtual reality experience that highlights its evolution.

Guests first encounter a sparkling ‘wall of tiaras’, which highlights a few models from the 3,000 sparkling diadems that the ‘Master of Tiaras’, as Chaumet is affectionately nicknamed, has created since 1780. The best part? You'll also be given the opportunity to try on a crown and snap a few photos.

Next, visitors will encounter a ‘fountain’ which displays a selection of Chaumet’s most exquisite high jewellery pieces, providing an insight into how nature has served as a continuous source of inspiration for the brand and its romantic ideals.

The last stop is an engaging VR experience titled Here and Beyond: An Imperial Virtual Journey, which pays homage to the brand’s French heritage. The immersive virtual adventure takes viewers on a ride from Chaumet's headquarters, 12 Place Vendôme, to the Forbidden City, discovering the French maison's evolution along the way.
