The new release of sports watches by the luxury brand are designed with the spirit of travel in mind
2016 marks the 20th anniversary of Vacheron Constantin's Overseas collection of sports watches, which will be celebrated with a global campaign highlighting the brand's synergy with the world of travel and exploration. In addition to partnering with reknowned photographer Steve McCurry to capture 12 iconic locations around the world, the brand has taken the opportunity to reinvent Overseas, one of its most iconic collections.
The five new models are equipped with Manufacture movements, including three new calibres, and one of the major highlights of the new collection are the modular bracelets/straps to suit travellers on the go. Three types of interchangeable stainless steel or precious metal bracelets are available, in addition to leather and rubber straps to suit any situation. In keeping with the spirit of travel, other elements of the watches include mechanical automatic movements that guarantee a generous power reserve. The watches are also water resistant up to 50 metres for the ultra-thin models, and 150 metres for the others.
The new versions of the Overseas timepieces continue the visual language of Vacheron Constantin watches with its elegant, ergonomic lines and and fluid curves. To drive the idea of travel home, the compass rose, a universal icon recognised by explorers, adorns the watches' 22k gold oscillating weight.
