The Parsons graduate and former protégé of Vera Wang showcased her ‘Faith Collection’, a delicate and youthful line and the playful ‘Little Miss Luk’ series earlier this spring to raise funds for Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation – Cancer Fund.

With inspiration drawn from her own pregnancy in 2014, Vivian Luk seeks to dress little girls in elegant apparel of her own – think extravagant bridal and evening pieces adapted to miniature versions.

“Little girl dresses can also be bold yet quiet at the same time. These dresses can be ordered in just its basic clean shapes or embellished with rich textures, either way they are great as keep-sakes to celebrate a special moment in the little ones’ milestones or as classic pieces to pass onto others as gifts,” remarks Luk, who was diagnosed with cancer during the second trimester of her pregnancy.

As the light feminine and shimmering organza dresses from the Faith Collection fluttered across the rustic interiors in the venue, the designer’s signature blend of the old and new, and the masculine and ultra-feminine was reflected throughout the presentation.

Needless to say, those who truly stole the show were the mini-models who were dressed in elegant designer dresses that are rich in textures and floral motifs.

Valerie Chow, Nadia Harilela, Rosemary Vandenbroucke and Brett Prebble were among those who attended the presentation.

Having created red carpet gowns for some of the world’s renowned leading ladies, the noted bridal and evening-dress designer set up her eponymous label in Hong Kong in 2008. Luk is known for her draping, visually-arresting use of vibrant colours and flattering styles which has won over some of the most discerning ladies in town.
