Watches & Wonders 2021: 5 New Watches That Look Great On Women
Watches are investment pieces that will elevate even the simplest of outfits, but we know it can feel overwhelming to choose which timepiece is right for you. Whether you prefer dainty and jewellery-like or minimal and modest, these are our favourite ladies’ novelties from Watches & Wonders 2021.
Allegra Cocktail watch by Bulgari
Lucia Silvestri, Bulgari’s creative director of jewellery, helped design the watchmaker’s latest Divissima and Allegra cocktail watches, which combine coloured gemstones and diamonds in various ways. Inspired by what Bulgari calls the “joie de vivre of la Dolce Vita”, the pictured Allegra watch comes with a rose gold case set with 82 round brilliant-cut diamonds and a mix of faceted and cabochon-cut gemstones. A mother-of-pearl dial is set with 12 diamond indexes for added glamour, while a taupe-coloured alligator strap ensures a comfortable fit.
Cartier Libre Baignoire Turtle by Cartier
A vintage-inspired collection, Cartier’s Libre line previously came in gorgeous tones of burgundy, emerald and gold. For Watches & Wonders 2021, the brand has unveiled a stunning tortoise-theme Baignoire timepiece, which is limited to 50 individually numbered watches. A playful scale motif is achieved using clusters of diamonds and tiny slivers of black anthracite. Buff-topped tsavorites and sapphires have been carefully arranged along the watch’s sides, which really brings this novelty’s influence to life.

Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 by Rolex
You can’t go wrong with a Rolex. The watchmaker’s classic Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 gets an update with a silver, palm-motif dial and jubilee bracelet, which was specifically designed for the Datejust collection in celebration of Rolex's 40th anniversary in 1945. Oystersteel is combined with warm 18-karat Everose gold, and the resulting case is beautifully feminine. Waterproof to 100 metres, this stunning timepiece is fitted with a fluted bezel.
Égérie Self-Winding Diamond-Pavé watch by Vacheron Constantin
If you like your fair share of shimmer, Vacheron Constantin’s new Égérie Self-Winding Diamond-Pavé models are for you. Two novelties have been released for Watches & Wonders 2021: one in white gold; the other in pink gold.
