Even before the rising trend of quiet luxury, Patek Philippe has crafted the Twenty~4 collection of classically stylish timepieces for the discerning modern woman

In the fast‑paced world of luxury watches, where innovation and design trends evolve rapidly, Patek Philippe’s Twenty~4 collection stands as a testament to the enduring elegance of the brand and its creations. Launched in 1999, the Twenty~4 was designed to be more than just a watch; it was conceived as a stylish and effortless companion for the modern, active woman, seamlessly fitting into the many dynamic facets of her life.

As its name suggests, each Twenty~4 watch can be worn round the clock and is perfect for any occasion, be it in the day or night. This continues to hold true today, 25 years since the first Twenty~4—an art deco‑inspired cambered rectangular watch in stainless steel equipped with a quartz movement—was launched.

Also referred to as a “manchette”, or cuff‑style, watch, the rectangular Twenty~4 is a feminine and sophisticated piece that complements anything from casual wear to business formal and even elegant evening wear. It comes in stainless steel as well as rose gold; both variants are set with two vertical rows of diamonds on the case. The dials of the steel models feature the applied Arabic numerals 12 and 6 as well as trapezoidal markers in white gold, while those of the rose gold models have the Roman numerals XII and VI, along with diamond markers.

There used to be only rectangular quartz models in the Twenty~4 collection, but in 2018, to cater to the varied preferences of contemporary women and their growing interest in mechanical watches, Patek Philippe introduced an automatic movement into the collection: the Twenty~4 Automatic. Besides being the first mechanical option in the collection for ladies, it was the first Twenty~4 to feature a round case.

While it appears to be very different from its older siblings with its case shape and self‑winding mechanical movement, the Twenty~4 Automatic is just as elegant. As with its predecessors, the watch, equipped with the calibre 324 S C self‑winding movement with date aperture and sweep seconds, is available in steel as well as rose gold and comes with diamonds set in its case, within which sits a legible dial with applied Arabic numerals in gold.

Rounding out the collection and bringing the number of chic Twenty~4 offerings up to 12 are the latest models introduced in 2021: the Twenty~4 Ref 4910/1201R‑001, the Twenty~4 Automatic Ref 7300/1200A‑011 and the Twenty~4 Automatic Ref 7300/1200R‑011. The first, a rectangular quartz watch in rose gold with a rich chocolate brown sunburst dial, comes with a comfortable, hand‑polished rose gold bracelet and the Patek Philippe calibre E15 quartz movement, whose mechanical components are crafted with the same commitment to quality as that of the manufacture’s mechanical movements.

The two Twenty~4 Automatic models, meanwhile, cater to different styles; the steel version with an olive green dial (Ref 7300/1200A‑011) has a more laid‑back, urban look, while the rose gold version with a matching rose‑gilt sunburst dial (Ref 7300/1200R‑011) is certainly more glamorous. Both have bezels adorned with two staggered rows of 160 diamonds set in the refined, lacework style of the “dentelle” technique and are equipped with the self‑winding calibre 324 S C movement, which can be admired through the sapphire‑crystal caseback. Their bracelets, in stainless steel and rose gold respectively, are polished entirely by hand and secured with a patented fold‑over clasp fitted with four independent catches.

With a range of varied yet carefully curated timepieces, the Twenty~4 collection continues to evolve with the modern woman, yet holds fast to its timeless appeal.
