The newly reopened location is designed in concord with three other galleries in Geneva, Dubai and Taipei, and displays a wide range of mechanical art devices

MB&F's M.A.D.Gallery has become a sensational and popular hub for mechanical enthusiasts to appreciate the work of different artists since its opening in 2018. To provide Hong Kong's residents with a more chic environment to appreciate the art pieces and galvanise their imagination, M.A.D.Gallery relocates to K11 Musea, the city's iconic shopping and art appreciation destination.

The newly reopened MB&F M.A.D.Gallery is designed in concord with three other galleries in Geneva, Dubai and Taipei, and the Hong Kong boutique features a simple and elegant atmosphere in a pleasant environment. The interiors boast white brick walls, allowing visitors to indulge completely in a pleasant environment and take their time to appreciate each art piece.

M.A.D.Gallery originated from the childhood dreams of MB&F founder, Maximilian Büsser, who dreamt of an all-in-one shelter for his favourite mechanical devices where he can appreciate and play with them whenever he wants. M.A.D, in addition to the original meaning of the word "Mad", doubles as an abbreviation for "mechanical art devices" and represents the "madness" that is imbued in each and every spectacular art piece inside the gallery.

The concept has now evolved into a captivating universe of kinetic art where horological and legacy machines by MB&F are displayed together with mechanical art devices created by Maximilian Büsser's friends. "M.A.D.Gallery is the perfect platform to showcase mechanical art devices, and K11 Musea, an attraction that combines humanities, art and culture, brings new possibilities to further realise our vision and our fans’ imagination," says Büsser.

"In the past five years, M.A.D.Gallery has introduced many unique mechanical art devices to enthusiasts and become a rendezvous for exchanging of minds. Thanks to M.A.D.Gallery, we are meeting like-minded artists operating in parallel worlds; people who think like us and share our passion for creating mechanical art. We will continue to gather more exclusive mechanical art devices from around the world for our fans in the future," he adds.

M.A.D.Gallery currently displays a wide range of mechanical art devices including LM101, LMX, TriPod and Project LpX acted by MB&F as well as other art pieces by creatives from different parts of the world. This includes Sculpture of Time A5-01 by Around Five, Slow Dance by Wonder Machines and Disintegrating X by Fabian Oefner. All the items on display are updated regularly.

MB&F M.A.D.Gallery is located in Shop 502, Level 5, K11 Musea, Victoria Dockside, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong and opens Monday to Sunday from 11 am–8 pm.
