A selection of 20th-century watches from the maison’s heritage Les Collectionneurs line comes to Hong Kong

Hong Kong-based watch collectors in need of some inspiration should head to Landmark Prince’s Building this month, where some of the world’s greatest vintage wristwatches are the subject of a brand-new Vacheron Constantin exhibition.

A carefully curated selection of 20th-century models, all of which have been recovered and restored by Vacheron Constantin's watch experts, are being brought to Hong Kong to be sold alongside a certificate of authenticity and two-year guarantee.

Vacheron Constantin has long breathed new life into its historic pieces with its stunning Les Collectionneurs line, which is led by a division that tracks down the brand’s most exceptional vintage and antique creations.

"Les Collectionneurs represents another facet of Vacheron Constantin,” says Christian Selmoni, style and heritage director. “The collection perpetuates this precious link between past and present, enabling our clientele of connoisseurs and collectors to acquire restored vintage pieces directly through the maison, which is a real guarantee.

"As for the events organised around the world to unveil this pieces, they attract both seasoned collectors and young generations eager to dive more deeply into watchmaking history.”

Among the watches offered is an 18-karat gold, two-tone Tonneau-shaped wristwatch, circa 1927. It comes with an elegant silvered dial complete with Arabic numerals, which are surrounded by an external minute track.

If you're serious about picking up one of these models, Tatler recommends you go to the exhibition, aptly named An Immersion into the Vintage Universe, early–once they're gone, they're gone.

An Immersion into the Vintage Universe runs from August 23 to September 10 at Vacheron Constantin’s Landmark Prince’s Building Boutique, and September 11 to 27 at Vacheron Constantin’s Ocean Terminal Boutique
