What to pack for Chanel’s Métiers d'Art Pre-Fall 2017 Show in Paris

December 1, 2016 | BY Justine Lee

See how our resident fashion editor packs in her suitcase for an upcoming trip to the City of Lights

The highly anticipated Pre-Fall show of Chanel each year is always a feast for the fashionable eyes. It’s the house’s annual event that pays tribute to the fine craftsmanship and the artisans in the ateliers - everything from embroidery work from Lesage, decadent costume jewels from Goossens to intricate feather work from Lemarié is out on display. With previous shows held in cities such as Salzburg, Edinburg, Mumbai and most recently, Rome, Chanel sets the stage back home in the City of Lights this season.

Hosted at the newly renovated Ritz Paris in Place Vendome, the fashion house will pay homage to the hotel that Mademoiselle Coco Chanel lived in for over three decades. Fashion editor Justine Lee is a packing pro, and shows us the essentials for the perfect Parisian weekend.

 Reve by Rene Sunglasses

I tend to opt for sunglasses over eye masks when sleeping on the plane. You’ll definitely find me snoozing in a pair of oversized aviators by Reve by Rene!

Stuart Weitzman Velvet Thigh Boots

Comfort is key but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style. These Stuart Weitzman boots are great for walking around the city.

Karuna Face Masks

Hydrating and skin-restoring, these Karuna face masks are great for long-haul plane rides and also when you’re getting ready for a night out.

Chic Savages by John Fairchild

An easy read for a fashion business trip, whether you're reading on the plane or enjoying a book with your morning coffee.

Chanel Dress

I had my eye on this look from the Fall/Winter 2016 show! I love the criss-cross detail by the waist on this Chanel dress.

 Jelly Bean Citrus Mix

For those who know me, you’ll know I love my snacks as much as I love my fashion. Who could say no a handful of jellybeans?

Chanel Handbag

I’ve used my classic Chanel 2.55 bag for years now, and I’ve been eyeing the novelty styles from the recent seasons. This one from Fall/Winter 2016 is just too cute!

Kruf Fur Coat

I love KRUF’s modern approach to fur design. This mink jacket with biker details and zips is a great piece for travelling- it’s lightweight and can go with just about anything.
