Late last year, Emhoff was interviewed by Garage and she talked about her knitwear aspirations. "I think the goal is definitely to have my own knitwear brand, label, whatever you call it," she said.

"Setting up a shop, most likely online of where I can just have a bunch of different pieces that I'm constantly creating and doing my commission-based work and having that all be in a shop. I’d like to try and stay a one-woman show, but I think as stuff has started ramping up with my knitwear, it's been harder. I'm only one woman, I can only make so many commissions while I'm also trying to just enjoy life."

In an interview with the New York Times last week, Emhoff talked about her family dynamic. "It’s like you get the most confident, strong personality people, a lot of them being women, and it’s like you’re layering all of them on top of each other and it becomes everyone trying to talk over each other," she said. "So it’s a lot of really enthusiastic yelling." 

We can't wait to see the next-level style that Emhoff brings to the White House over the next four years.
