Background
Sebastián Blanco Aldomar, who began working in a shoe factory at the age of 12, founded footwear brand Magnanni at the age of 44, with five employees working out of his home. That was in 1954. Today, his children and grandchildren run the internationally successful business.
Design Signatures
You can tell a Magnanni shoeby two distinct trademarks: its opanka design, which is when the sole is wrapped and hand-stitched on the outside of the shoe; and the hand-antiqued leather, which is burnished with unique colours and rich finishes.
Latest Collection
Clean, linear designs in grey and blue hues are this season’s key elements. Designers travel the world before starting each new collection, studying markets and sourcing trends.
