Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph

Launched at this year’s SIHH, Audemars Piguet launched a refreshed roster of Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph pieces, where the brand introduced new case and dial combinations, and a number of two-tone options.

One of these beautifully bold pieces is the 44mm Offshore Chronograph with a case, bezel, push pieces and screw-locked crown all in black ceramic, and fitted with a black rubber strap. It also comes with a black dial featuring black counters and pink gold hour-markers against the model’s famous méga tapisserie pattern.

Omega Planet Ocean Deep Black

Launched quietly last year, the Omega Planet Ocean Deep Black is one of the most underrated GMT and dive watches in the market today, given its exceptional reliability and functionality.

It is the first time the Planet Ocean collection is featuring a black model, where its body is crafted from a single block of black ceramic. Liquidmetal is used to create the “He” symbol for helium valve, and the Omega symbol on the crown.

Chopard L.U.C. 8HF Power Control

While not particularly well known for its fine watchmaking, Chopard, in fact, made its first COSC-certified high-frequency watch in 2012 in the fine form of the L.U.C. 8HF Power Control watch. This piece is precision personified, beating at a frequency of 8Hz—compared to 4 Hz for ordinary mechanical movements—which means it functions at 57,600vph.

In 2014, it released a 250-piece limited edition version in high-grade black machined ceramic, with matte black ceramic lugs and case back, as well as a screw-down crown guard in the same finish.

Tudor Black Bay Dark

The Tudor Black Bay Dark is only the watch everyone is talking about right now. With its cool aesthetics, robust in-house made movement and attractive price point, it’s hard not to see why.

The latest addition to the Heritage Black Bay family, this ruggedly handsome piece features a 41mm steel case finished with a black PVD-treated coating, which was derived from the thin film technology originally developed by NASA for its various space programmes.
