The Korean culinary star will delight guests with an 8-course degustation menu

As part of the Conrad Hong Kong’s silver jubilee celebration, October marks the start of the hotel’s Korean food festival, featuring chef Jung Sik Yim of Korea’s Jungsik to create the new wave of the nation’s cuisine.

Named the best restaurant in South Korea by this year’s Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, Jungsik has captured the essence of Korean cuisine by using traditional ingredients paried with innovative techniques and an artful presentation.

From October 15 to 17, Chef Yim will present his contemporary philosophy of healthy dining and prominent flavours in a three-day celebration as part of the lunch and dinner services at Brasserie on the Eighth. Chef Yim will present his eight-course degustation menu featuring new takes inspired by ancient Korean art, with elements from the sea, land, and street food. Notable dishes include:

- Snapper with anchovy and pepper
- Beef tenderloin and sancho jangajji, a type of pickled native peppercorns
- Pork belly bossam with dwenjang bean paste and rice

The three-day Korean celebration of Jungsik runs from October 15 to 17, as the eight-course degustation menu is available at HK$1,688 per person and it’s available during lunch and dinner service.
