Maserati's new carbon-fibre butterfly-door MC20 takes home top accolades at the 2021 Festival Automobile International
Maserati's carbon-fiber, butterfly-door MC20 debuted at the MMXX international show in Modena only four short months ago, and last night at the 36th edition of the Festival Automobile International, the supercar took home top accolades for the most beautiful supercar of the year 2021.
When the MC20 was unveiled last year, it represented both a departure from Maserati's recent brand trajectory but also a return to its roots. The car is the first supercar the brand has announced since the M12 in 2004, and features the first Maserati-produced engine in more than 20 years. Upcoming variations on the model will include a spyder with a drop-top as well as a battery-powered electric edition.
"We are honoured to receive this coveted accolade, which recognizes the work of an entire team who have made a whole-hearted commitment to this unique project, creating a car that opens a new chapter in Maserati's history," said Maserati Head of Design Klaus Busse in a statement.
