The gentleman burgler, Assane Diop is back. French Netflix series, Lupin has just revealed the first look images from its highly-anticipated second part. The heist drama is the most successful French original in Netflix's history and was watched by a whopping 70 million households in the first month. Just like the titular Lupin, the series hid in plain sight when it was added to the January line-up and now set a global record for a French series.
Lupin is inspired by Arsène Lupin also known as the Gentleman Burglar, a character created by Maurice Leblanc. The drama follows Assane Diop, played by the charismatic Omar Sy, a master of disguise on a quest to avenge his father who has been wrongfully accused of theft by the wealthy family he works for. The sleeper hit gave fans an exciting watch, especially how Assane cleverly set-ups and evades his pursuers.
