Restaurant offerings taking advantage of the beautiful spring weather are plenty this week
A weight simultaneously lifted off stakeholder involved with the F&B industry this week, when the Hong Kong government announced a relaxation of the harshest social distancing regulations to date, allowing restaurants to seat four people at a table and to open until 10pm at night. Barring any more unexpected news, a sense of elation is evident among diners, workers, suppliers and restaurateurs alike—expect weeks of solidly booked tables around town as the city reacquaints itself with old freedoms. Here are the latest local happenings in the world of food and drink; consider supporting them whether you're eating out or at home.

Revol Coffee
Jordan neighbourhood favourite Cafe Revol has opened up a second location in Wan Chai, bringing its revolutionary fervour for the drink to the other side of the pond. Revol Coffee features sleek interiors reminiscent of Japanese minimalism, while an all-black palette creates a certain cosiness within which to sip the two single-origin espresso house blends.

East Latte
Shoppers have yet another place for coffee in Causeway Bay with the opening of East Latte behind Times Square. Signature drinks include the French latte, which uses a dark roast blend, while the Yirgacheffe and Colombia lattes use beans from their respective regions. A host of tea lattes are also available for those who prefer something a little lighter. Do note that East Coffee only serves takeaway at the moment.

Heart Coffee
As evidenced by the name, the baristas at Heart Coffee serve your morning cuppa with heart. This medium-sized joint in Yau Ma Tei uses beans from micro-roasters like Win City Coffee, Rec Coffee and Marumi Coffee, alongside homemade sodas, pastas and açai bowls throughout the day. Outdoor seating also makes for a great perch for people-watching—an often-overlooked feature of a great cafe.
