1. Pirata

What: Pirata's New Year's Day brunch menu starts off with a brunch platter featuring chef's selection of cold cuts such as cheese and condiments. For starters, you can get four different dishes such as poached asparagus and black truffle, baked provolone with black truffle, M.M.M or My Mama's Meatballs (pork, beef, egg, tomato sauce, basil and extra virgin olive oil) and finally vitello tonnato (veal, tuna, capers, mayonnaise and Sicilian caper berries).

The main dishes are just as delicious and each person can choose from tagliatelle (smoked salmon, vodka, fresh dill), fregola Sarda (prawns, octopus, rich seafood sauce), black truffle tagliolini (alps butter, fresh truffle, hazelnuts), cod baked in parchment, Angus beef tagliata with potatoes, and lamb shank. Finish off your meal with panettone della tradizione served with classic vanilla creme.

2. The Optimist

What: The Optimist's festive brunch is sure to indulge your tastebuds. Their brunch platter consists of jamon Iberico, manchego, baby gem and home-made terrine. The appetiser is also a delicious mix of seafood and meat starting off with lobster croquettes, gambas a la plancha (blue prawns, kimchi sauce) and finally broken eggs "huevos rotos" (Iberian ham, chorizo, potatoes, eggs).

For the main course, you'll be given four choices: Northern Spain milky lamb shoulder, suckling pig (requires a minimum of four people and must be pre-ordered), lobster rice (requires a minimum of two people) and chateaubriand (Spanish beef fillet, truffled mashed potato, spinach, beef jus) which also requires a minimum of two people. Dessert is merry with Basque cheesecake and pa amb xcolata (crispy thin baguette, virgin coconut oil, Maldon salt and 70 per cent chocolate ganache).

Additionally, you can add HK$240 per person for free-flow drinks for option A which includes Santa Margherita, Estrella Damm bottled beer and soft drinks, or HK$320 per person for option B that includes house spirits and mixers, Valdesil and also soft drinks. Each is available for two hours with HK$140 extra for a bottle of champagne.

3. TokyoLima

What: No need to travel all the way to Japan to get a taste of their scrumptious treats. TokyoLima's festive brunch will give you a taste of Japanese-inspired food during New Year's Day. The small plates include a mix of fried chicken, salad and salmon causa. For appetisers, enjoy the Ceviche Clasico (sea bass, tiger's milk, red onion, coriander, cancha), Maguro Nuevo (tuna, avocado, sesame, beetroot mayo, tobiko) and tuna and watermelon tartare.

The main course is served at your table for sharing. You'll enjoy the Tacu Tacu (stir-fried snow beans, onion, red and yellow peppers, chimichurri), suckling pig and salmon a la macho. And finally, the dessert is a surprise—a selection of delicious and sweet treats you'll only know on the day.

4. La Rambla

What: La Rambla will be bringing a slice of Spain's mercados gastronómicos, or gourmet food markets, to the heart of Hong Kong with a festive twist. The market-style New Year's Day brunch menu titled El Mercado, features an unlimited selection of salads, Spanish cheeses and charcuterie served to your table. The tapas are a great addition to the meal and you get to enjoy five types of them including crystal bread brushed with fresh tomatoes and white anchovies marinated in vinegar oil.

For the main course, you can choose from four options: Fria (oysters, tiger prawn and king crab), Caliente (carabineros, clams and razor clams), roasted chicken or a traditional suckling pig. A Spanish New Year's brunch isn't complete without paella, and you can choose four different types from the classic calamari and clams to squid ink, vegetarian and pork belly.

After all that food, you'd want to try something sweet. For desserts, you get delectable pastries and traditional Spanish desserts sent to your table; add HK$110 to get churros dipped in chocolate sauce.

What: Don't let its name fool you—Meats isn't just serving meat this New Year's Day. For starters of their festive brunch menu, you'll get a chicken liver plate, beef tartare, Mexican sweet corn succotash and fish tacos followed by a middle course of meat cannelloni (minced meat, bechamel sauce and cheddar cheese) before moving onto mains.

The main is a simple roasted turkey is served with potatoes on the side. Treat your sweet tooth with their Mo's Millions (chocolate delice, caramel and vanilla ice-cream). Add HK$180 to enjoy free-flow drinks for two hours which includes Asahi, Santa Margherita prosecco, Colome and Viu Manet Reserva.

6. TMK

What: Start the new year right with a festive brunch at TMK where they'll be serving edamame, karaage, potato salad and salmon tataki for starters that will surely energise you. Appetisers include two pieces of sushi and sashimi, Kalifornia roll (king crab, kani-mayo, tobiko, cucumber, avocado) and Hamachi Tomato roll (yuzu koshu, red onion, coriander).

For the main dish, enjoy fusion dishes such as mentaiko udon (aglio e olio, crispy garlic and parmesan) and tuna hotdog (a tempura-fried Kalifornia roll topped with spicy tuna). What: More Japanese delights are served at Honjo's New Year's Day brunch. Starters include edamame and chicken wings, fruit tomato and salmon. Enjoy a sashimi selection and freshly shucked Scottish oysters for the appetiser. Main dishes include wagyu striploin leading the pack, joined by salmon teriyaki and finished off with Honjo's tempura selection of black tiger prawns and Japanese vegetables.

What: The spectacular Because Gold Room Brunch returns to Aqua, offering Italian and Japanese dishes together with a golden banquet of desserts served with unlimited Veuve Clicquot champagne. Highlights of the brunch include the traditional Italian Christmas panettone, panna cotta and soft-serve ice cream. Other than that, you can also have negitoro sushi, Mediterranean oysters, antipasti platter, truffle pizza and an assorted tempura platter.

What: Pici brings you a delicious festive brunch to start off the new year. For only HK$248 per person, you get to enjoy one starter, 1.5 pasta and a dessert. For starters, pick between tuna tartare, melted provolone, truffle bresaola rolls or home-made meatballs.
